Privacy Policy

This policy explains what AthenaPilot collects, why, and how it is handled — across every surface you use it on: the WhatsApp copilot (message +44 7404 843156) and the Athena Chrome extension. AthenaPilot is a governed AI copilot operated by Violet Shores Pty Ltd.

WhatsApp copilot

When you message AthenaPilot on WhatsApp, we process, through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform:

• Your messages and their content — the text, voice notes, images, documents, and links you send, so Athena can answer, summarise, transcribe, and act on them. Voice notes are transcribed to text; images and documents are analysed to respond to your request.
• Your WhatsApp phone number and display name — used to identify your conversation, hold your context and preferences, and reply to you.
• Conversation history and derived context — recent messages and interests we detect, so Athena remembers context between messages and can build your personal watch profile. You can ask us to reset this at any time.

Message delivery is handled by Meta under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. We do not control WhatsApp itself; we control what AthenaPilot does with the messages you send it.

Chrome extension

The Chrome extension accesses:

• Content you explicitly capture — text you select and send, page titles and URLs you choose to ask about or capture, and YouTube video transcripts you choose to ingest.
• Opt-in interest signals — if you enable them, your Like actions on YouTube and X, and optional watch-completion signals. These are off unless you turn them on, always shown with a visible badge, and can be disabled at any time.
• Your access token and preferences — stored locally in Chrome storage so you don't re-enter them.

How it is used

On both surfaces, your content is used to answer your questions, build your personal watch profile, and improve the guidance Athena gives you. To generate answers, your query and the context needed for it are routed to trusted third-party AI model providers (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and others) under their respective terms; Athena's SignalRank selects which model per question. Chrome voice input uses the browser's built-in speech recognition — only the resulting text is sent, and only when you press send.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use it for any purpose unrelated to the extension's function.
• We do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
• We do not transfer it to third parties; data goes only to your own Athena account.

Your control

On WhatsApp you can stop using AthenaPilot at any time and ask us to delete your conversation data and watch profile by messaging "delete my data" or contacting us. In the Chrome extension you can turn each capture type on or off in options, remove items from your watch profile, and revoke access by removing your token or uninstalling. To request deletion of any data held in your Athena account, contact us.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to your Athena account is governed by the VAC verified-authority model — actions are authorised and receipted.
